US DOT Exemption Kits
DOT exemption UN Packagings are designed, tested, and certified for shipping packing group I, II, and III hazardous materials by AIR or Ground and are approved by UPS and FedEx.
The exemption authorizes the transportation of certain hazardous materials, specified within the exemption, without hazard labels or placards. The inner container quantity limits must be less than or equal to 1 liter for liquids and 2.85 kilograms for solids. The package is also tested and certified to a 4GV variation mark for shipping hazardous materials with specification packaging.
There are several different styles of outer packages, enabling a wide variety of inner packagings to be used. The complete packaging system has been authorized by the Department of Transportation for the shipment of most hazardous materials without an outside warning label. Available with gallon or tall can.
These UN performance-tested packagings gives the flexibility of using your own inner container up to 32 oz., to ship Packing Groups I, II, or III materials by all modes of transportation. Use these DOT exemption kits to ship the following chemicals: flammable liquids, flammable solids, pyrophoric materials, self-heating materials, organic peroxides, oxidizers, dangerous when wet materials, toxic materials, corrosive materials, and miscellaneous hazardous materials.
